Baldwin Chairman Gerald A. Nathe to Receive NAPL Soderstrom Award
Thursday 03. September 2009 - Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. (NYSE Amex: BLD),a global leader in process automation technology for the printing industry announced today that Chairman Gerald A. Nathe has been named the 49th Walter E. Soderstrom Award recipient by the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL). Mr. Nathe will receive the award at the Park Hyatt in Chicago at the annual NAPL Soderstrom Society Dinner on Saturday, September 12th during Print 09.
Named for the late Walter E. Soderstrom, one of the founders of NAPL, the Soderstrom Society is an honors organization that recognizes the contributions of industry leaders, including printing firm owners, equipment manufacturers, consultants and educators. NAPL is the industrys association for excellence in the printing and graphic communications industry.
NAPL president and chief executive officer Joseph P. Truncale announced this years honoree by stating “We are so pleased to bestow this award on someone who so truly exemplifies all the qualities of the Society. Throughout Gerrys career, he has been a learner, a leader, a successful businessman, a coach, mentor and humanitarian.”

Nathe has been a director of Baldwin Technology since 1987 and has served as chairman since 1997. He was CEO from 1995 through 2001 and again from 2002 through 2007. He was president from 1993 through 2001 and from 2002 through 2005. Nathe was also the recipient of the NAPL Vanguard Award earlier in 2009.
