ENHANCED CROWN WEBSITE AIMS TO EDUCATE AND INSPIRE BRAND OWNERS, DESIGNERS
Tuesday 18. August 2009 - Crown Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCK) (Crown) (www.crowncork.com) has launched several interactive features on its corporate website, www.crowncork.com, to inspire and educate marketers, brand managers and designers around the world about the benefits and possibilities associated with metal packaging. Enhancements include added functionality in the website's Innovation & Design section and a new, user-friendly organization of the company's technology and service portfolio.

Visitors to the Innovation & Design section will have a distinct experience, both in terms of functionality and general navigation. Several new elements have been incorporated here including:
Concept to Consumer – short graphical case studies demonstrating how Crown works with brand owners to turn ideas into reality.
Metal Innovations – spotlights advanced metal packaging technologies that can help brands maximize shelf impact and win over consumers. Areas of focus include shaping, decoration, convenience and sustainability. Special rollover effects draw visitors’ attention to key aspects of each package.
Innovation Showcase – an extensive gallery of Crown’s packaging innovations, organized by product category. High quality images and brief descriptions highlight key attributes.
Content will be updated regularly to keep visitors informed about new applications and technologies. In addition, each of these features includes an option for visitors to ‘Share’ content via social bookmarking sites like Facebook, de.lic.ious, digg and stumbleupon.
The Innovation & Design area also houses a recently launched Open Innovation function. This feature allows outside inventors to submit unique ideas, including new concepts for technologies or processes, for consideration by Crown’s Innovation Team.

Each of the company’s global Business Unit sections has been structured using easy-to-navigate category and detail pages, allowing visitors to find the information they need in just a few clicks.
