Margret Suckale to head corporate unit at BASF as of July 1, 2009
Monday 11. May 2009 - Margret Suckale (52), currently member of the Board of Management of DB Mobility Logistics AG, is to assume responsibility for the corporate unit Global Human Resources - Executive Management & Development at BASF effective July 1, 2009.
Her global responsibilities will include human resource issues related to senior executives, management processes, organization of the BASF Group and executive development. In addition, she will head a strategic committee that proposes candidates for executive positions to BASFs Board of Executive Directors. Suckale will report directly to the Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, Dr. Jürgen Hambrecht.
Suckale studied law at the University of Hamburg, and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the Northwestern University/WHU as well as an Executive Master of European and International Business Law degree from the University of St. Gallen. Suckale has gathered international experience at a number of companies – also in the oil and chemical industry – and is thus an ideal addition to BASFs management team.
