See What Sets the Screen Truepress Jet2500UV Apart from Other Inkjet Printers at Graphics of the Americas
Friday 27. February 2009 - Attendees of Graphics of the Americas 2009 will be able to see for themselves the kind of superlative print quality that the Garvey Group can offer its customers since adding the Truepress Jet2500UV grand-format UV inkjet printer.
“The detail of printed images is what really sets the Truepress Jet2500UV apart from other inkjet machines,” said Dennis Muraro, general manager of the Garvey Group’s commercial printing facility in Milwaukee, Wis.
The Garvey Group, a $50 million firm headquartered in Niles, Ill., is the first U.S. printing company to install the Truepress Jet2500UV. Screen (USA) will demonstrate the Truepress Jet2500UV at Graphics of the Americas 2009.
“The Truepress Jet2500UV not only has the ability to print images at a higher resolution than competing inkjet printers, but the variable dot technology helps produce superior quality when imaging fine detail or high-density areas,” Muraro added. “If you compare images printed on the Truepress Jet2500UV with images printed on other inkjet equipment, the Screen images look superior.”
The Truepress Jet2500UV supports a maximum output resolution of 1,500 dpi. The drop-on-demand eight-level grayscale printhead coupled with Screen’s exclusive screening technology enable smooth gradations for photo-quality color printing.
With its true hybrid capabilities, the Truepress Jet2500UV is designed to add value to printing companies’ operations. State-of-the-art digital imaging technology coupled with both roll-to-roll and flatbed capabilities expand the quality, productivity and flexibility of inkjet printing. Users can alternate between flexible and rigid substrates in minutes without incurring the cost of a second machine.
The Truepress Jet2500UV can run roll-to-roll media, including paper, vinyl film, banners and many other materials, depending on the job requirements. Products that can be created using the roll-to-roll format include posters, banners, backlit signs, fine art, billboards, decals and vehicle wraps.
Rigid substrates open up new markets for signs, transit advertising, exhibits and displays. The press easily handles high-quality printing on acrylic, glass, tiles, doors, blinds, plastics, plywood, ceramic tile and corrugated plastic materials up to 1.96 inches thick.
“We are very impressed by the flexibility of the Truepress Jet2500UV,” Muraro said. “We already see some unique applications for backlit displays, point-of-purchase materials, prototype printing and projects using thick substrates.”
