Trelleborg Starts 2009 With Major Additions To Packaging Blanket Range
Friday 20. February 2009 - Trelleborg Printing Blankets has started 2009 by launching two major blankets for the sheet-fed packaging market. The new Vulcan Kart-One is a hybrid blanket, which has been specially developed for use with either conventional or UV inks.
For printers with presses that run UV inks only, Trelleborg has launched the Vulcan Kart-One UV blanket. The competitively-priced blankets are available throughout Europe from February and have been designed to provide extremely high smash resistance plus superb print quality, ink transfer and dot control.
“Bringing a new blanket solution to the market takes a huge amount of research as well as extensive trials at key customer sites,” says Dario Porta, managing director of Trelleborg Printing Blankets. “However, this is essential to ensure that the blankets we introduce meet the most demanding requirements of quality, durability, productivity and efficiency. We are delighted with the response we have had from the packaging printers testing the new Vulcan Kart-One and Vulcan Kart-One UV products.”
In addition to extremely high durability on the press, the unique top face compound ensures first class printing quality, whether using conventional or UV inks. The highly compressible top layer allows the blankets to be used within a wide range of packaging applications, including metal decorative printing. The new blankets are available to match any sheet-fed packaging press format.
