Glendale makes CtP switch

Glendale Print and Finishing has made a switch from visible light to thermal CtP and from Screen to Heidelberg, buying a Suprasetter 74 with automatic plate loading and running the latest Prinect Signastation software to feed its B2 and B3 five-colour Speedmasters.

Thursday 29. January 2009 - Glendale Print and Finishing has made a switch from visible light to thermal CtP and from Screen to Heidelberg, buying a Suprasetter 74 with automatic plate loading and running the latest Prinect Signastation software to feed its B2 and B3 five-colour Speedmasters.

“Glendale has been a Heidelberg house from the pressroom perspective for a number of years and so it made perfect sense to extend that to our pre-press. Heidelberg expertise and software has made it very easy to produce press calibrated digital proofs to complete the circle,” says Alan Collins, managing director.

Kelvin Lander, sales manager, adds: “We looked at other options, including Screen, but when we talked to other users Heidelberg and the Suprasetter were highly recommended. The system has arrived and the quality is fantastic, giving us much sharper, cleaner plates and that improves makeready on press.”

The Tunbridge Wells company is using Heidelberg’s own brand Saphira Chem-free plates and Saphira premium proofing paper.

Glendale supplies a wide range of general commercial work, mainly in and around the M25 ring.
