Tuesday 04. November 2008 - Car makers can expand their color portfolio with Palomar Delta Blue 60, a durable reddish blue pigment for automotive coatings.
“Todays automotive market is looking for new color offerings that will both catch the eyes of consumers and be cost effective,” said Peter Carey-Yard, Director of Marketing for Coatings, Performance Pigments Group, Sun Chemical. “Delta Blue 60 not only expands their color gamut with this unique reddish blue shade, it also provides the potential to reduce paint costs.”

While Delta Blue pigments are designed for automotive coatings, they can also be used in other high performance industrial applications. Delta Blue pigments offer excellent fastness properties and are transparent with hue neutral flop characteristics that are useful for styling metallic effect colors. While recommended for water based coatings, Delta Blue 60 pigments are suitable for high solids solvent coatings.
