Louisville Printer Moves Fast with New POLAR 115 X Cutter from Heidelberg

Thursday 13. November 2008 - Gateway Press, a general commercial printer in Louisville, Ky., has added a POLAR 115 X cutter from Heidelberg to its facility.

“We’ve had POLAR cutters in the past and we have always had great results out of them,” said Ed Ryan, the company’s senior vice president of manufacturing. The shop’s newest cutter is no exception. “We’re seeing much faster reaction times on the gate, the setup time is the fastest we have ever experienced and knife changes are easier than ever before,” Ryan said. Gateway, founded in 1950, now has 200 employees in its 170,000-square-foot facility, which operates 24 hours a day.
