Monarch Graphics Adds POLAR Cutter from Heidelberg to New Location

Wednesday 05. November 2008 - Robert Haller has run POLAR cutters from Heidelberg for more than a decade, so when his shop, Monarch Graphics, expanded into a second location, adding a new POLAR 78 X was an easy decision.

“One of my POLAR cutters is 13 years old; the other is approaching 10 years,” Haller said. “Aside from maintenance and oil changes, I don’t remember them ever being down.” In addition to his three POLAR cutters, Haller also runs three Speedmaster SM 52 presses from Heidelberg — 2-color, 4-color and 6-color models, all with perfectors — and a Stahlfolder B 20 folder. The shop uses Saphira Perfect Dot blankets and other Saphira Consumables on its presses. Monarch, a general commercial shop in Central Islip, N.Y. in business for 30 years, has 20 employees across its two locations.
