Restaurant Industry Printer Expands its Menu with Heidelberg Prepress, Press and Workflow Technologies
Rich Printing in Suwanee, Ga. has multiplied its productivity by upgrading its all-Heidelberg shop to include a new Suprasetter SCL 74 automatic platesetter and 4-color Printmaster PM 52 press from Heidelberg. The company is also integrating its shop with Heidelbergs Prinect workflow system, which provides greater process transparency and accelerates job flow. “We took a careful look at the technology that is available today and really tried to plan for the future,” said Owner Jeff Horne. “We have been so pleased with the results of our existing Heidelberg equipment – including an MOZ press, two Printmaster QM 46 presses, several POLAR cutters and Stahlfolder folders – that we decided to continue our partnership with Heidelberg and integrate everything from prepress to the bindery with Prinect.” The company has already experienced increased productivity with the addition of the new press and platesetter, which use Heidelberg Saphira Consumables and Saphira Chemfree thermal plates. “The PM 52 is the perfect high-volume, quick make-ready press to handle our full-color, short-run work while delivering the highest quality weve seen in awhile,” Horne said. “We run it at its top speed almost full time.” In addition to its thriving general commercial business locally, Rich Printing serves the quick-service restaurant industry on a nationwide scale, including clients in all 50 states, and focuses on menus and marketing collateral as well as warehousing and fulfillment. The company opened for business more than 30 years ago.
