CTP - Computer to Plate
Fujifilm Dart Series of Thermal CTP Devices
Wednesday 05. November 2008 - Fujifilms Dart series of thermal, four-page computer-to-plate (CTP) devices combines compact size with high speed and consistent plate quality to meet the various needs of printers.
The Dart series, which includes the Dart 4300 E and Dart 4300 S, offers fast processing speeds and uniform exposure for extremely high image quality, and is ideal for mid-size commercial printers wanting to take the step into CTP.
Additionally, it features easy daylight handling and an affordable price for a wide range of options, which allows for expansion up to a fully automated online system. The Dart 4300E is an affordable entry-level solution while the Dart 4300S is a high-speed model. Both devices consistently output plates with a dot sharpness and registration accuracy that enable superior process control and fast make-ready times.
Dart Series Features & Benefits
High productivity – Both the Dart 4300 E and Dart 4300 S devices feature a high-speed external drum, which rotates up to 1,000 rpm. The Dart 4300 S features a 32-channel multi-exposure system, enabling an output of 21 four-page plates per hour at 2,400 dpi. The Dart 4300 E has a 16-channel thermal laser diode array and can output 11 four-page plates per hour at the same resolution.
Plate-size versatility – Advanced clamping technology assures secure attachment of plates from 12-3/4″ x 14-9/16″ to 32-21/32″ x 26″ (4-page + format) and the Dart series also supports 6, 8 and 12 gauge plates.
Optimized for Fujifilm plates – The Dart series is designed to extract optimal performance from Fujifilms Brillia LH-PJ and the new Ecomaxx-T processless thermal plates.
Standard and optional productivity features – In addition to the convenience of white light plate handling, the series offers an automatic internal punch for highly repeatable, efficient operation plus optional press punching for Heidelberg, Komori and others.
Automatic loading and unloading – The Dart series can be configured for fully automatic, continuous operation with the optional SAL single cassette autoloader or MAL multi-cassette autoloader and the T-6000 conveyor processor bridge.
