New Komori press for Jones
Tuesday 28. October 2008 - K-North, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jones Packaging Inc. has placed an order for what is believed to be the largest capacity, multi coater 40" press in Canada. The 13-unit Komori LS40 sheetfed press features nine printing units, two tower coaters, two drying units and the full complement of UV drying equipment - configured specifically for Jones Packaging.
The new Komori press comes with the highest level of automation available from Komori. Some of these features include Komoris fully Automatic Plate Loading system, PDC-S close-looped colour control, fully automatic press wash-up, KHS-AI High Speed Inking with Artificial Intelligence self-learning function, Inker declutch on all units and all of this on an 18-inch raised press.
Incorporated in 1920, Jones Packaging is a privately held, fourth generation controlled and managed family business. The KHS-AI can prove to save up to one thousand trees per year through reduced waste alone. Furthermore, the drying equipment features the highest level of UV technology with the lowest VOC emission rate.
