ABBYY Announces Channel Partnership With Leading Software Reseller in Taiwan

Thursday 16. October 2008 - Formosoft to Leverage the Accuracy and Efficiency of Award-Winning ABBYY Data Capture and Document Recognition Technologies to Add Value to its Offering

ABBYY, a leading provider of recognition, data capture and linguistic technologies, today announced that it has partnered with Formosoft, one of the largest resellers in Taiwan whose major offerings include network security, document and image recognition, and 3D virtual reality solutions. Formosoft is the first channel partner for the recently established ABBYY USA Software House, Inc. Taiwan Branch, and together they will work to develop value-added solutions with ABBYY FineReader Engine Software Development Kit (SDK) and ABBYY FlexiCapture for the burgeoning Taiwan technology market.

The ABBYY FineReader Engine SDK delivers a powerful, flexible tool to integrate OCR, barcode recognition, PDF conversion and data capture functions into other applications. The SDK provides a wide range of document recognition functions to integrate into a variety of applications including word processors, scanning, archiving, search, and document and information management. ABBYY FlexiCapture extracts data from structured forms, semi-structured forms, unstructured documents and any combination of several document types, and efficiently provides accurate data for input into databases and a variety of business systems and processes.
