Manor Creative saves with Fujifilm PRO-T plates

Friday 22. August 2008 - £5,000 a year saved on chemistry

Fujifilm today announces that Sussex based printer Manor Creative has switched to Fujifilm’s processless Brillia HD PRO-T plate.

Graham Brownett, CEO at Manor Creative, said: “We trialled the plate and found it to be just what it said on the tin. We worked out that by using PRO-T we would save in excess of £5,000 on chemistry and the associated hazardous waste disposal, as well as 250,000 litres of water over a twelve-month period.

“Add to this the fact that we would no longer have to house a processor or spend around 350 hours every year maintaining it and you can see why PRO-T was the choice for us. The environmental benefits of the lack of chemistry and removal of the processor are clear and none of Fuji’s competitors could offer anything similar.”

Manor Creative provides design, print and multimedia products for a wide range of customers including major blue-chip organisations, local and central Government departments, SMEs and City institutions. The plates are being used on Manor Creative’s Komori litho offset B1 and B2 presses.

Manor Creative operates 24 hours a day, providing a round-the-clock service to customers from concept to delivery. The change to PRO-T plates is part of a ten point Manor Earth business pledge that has been implemented by the company which is looking to achieve ISO 14001 accreditation in the near future.
