UPM launches Paper and Printing Schools for its stakeholders
Monday 28. July 2008 - UPM starts to offer paper and printing related training packages for its customers and other stakeholders.
UPM Paper and Printing Schools will help multiple target groups to familiarize themselves with paper products and printing industry. The participants will have an opportunity to learn how to select the right paper for each printing method and specific end-use.
UPM Paper and Printing Schools will provide information about main principles of paper making, different printing methods and their requirements for paper as well as environmental questions. In Printing School the participants will also get a chance to learn more about troubleshooting during the hands-on print simulator training.
“Since the demand for these kinds of trainings has been big from our customers’ side, we decided to offer them a possibility to join both Paper and Printing Schools. Internally we have been carrying out similar trainings for years,” says Gerd Carl, Technical Marketing Manager for UPM.
UPM Paper School is targeted for publishers, paper buyers, advertisers or advertisement agency personnel, industry partners and printers. UPM Printing School is planned for publishers, paper buyers, planners, editors-in-chief, advertisers or advertisement agency personnel.
First training sessions will be organised in Germany in the coming autumn.
Trainings will be offered in English.
