Domino Named Capital Equipment Supplier Of The Year By Quad/Graphics
Thursday 26. June 2008 - Quad/Graphics, the worlds largest privately owned printing company, has named Domino Capital Equipment Supplier of the Year. The prestigious Gold Award was presented to Domino Amjet Inc, the US division of Domino Printing Sciences plc, in recognition of its contribution of key value-added services to USA based Quad/Graphics in a partnership that began over twenty years ago.
Dominos largest customer, Quad/Graphics currently has around 1,000 Domino printers in its manufacturing portfolio, including 680 high speed eight-line addressing JetArray printers, nearly 200 Bitjet binary printers, 50 A-Series continuous ink jet printers and a number of K-Series variable data drop on demand and L-Series thermal transfer printers.
Domino went through an extensive assessment as part of the awards adjudication process, including evaluation of its supply chain, technological and environmental processes, as well as customer satisfaction, on-time deliveries, cost savings and business initiatives.
“Our Supplier of the Year program, now in its fifth year, is an important tool for giving suppliers the knowledge they need to help us achieve ongoing cost reductions and productivity improvements,” says John Fowler, CFO of Quad/Graphics. “Our success is based, to a large extent, on the partnerships of our valued suppliers. We are well aware that together we can achieve more than we can as individual companies.
“The awards represent an opportunity for us to formally acknowledge the hard work of suppliers like Domino and to show them how much we appreciate their contribution to our success,” adds Fowler.
Jonathan Phillips, Business Development Director for Dominos Commercial Printing Division in North America, says, “We are delighted to be honored with this award by one of our most important customers: it underlines our commitment to the long partnership we have enjoyed with Quad/Graphics. Through working closely together we have been able to set both industry and global standards.”
