New additions to Parade Prima speciality papers from Sappi
Monday 09. June 2008 - Sappi has introduced two new products to its Parade range of speciality labelling papers at Drupa - Parade Prima High Gloss, suitable for prestige chocolate wrappers, cigarette soft packs, banderols, board lamination and dry goods labelling, and Parade Prima FS for face stock applications for self adhesive labelling such as VIP (Variable Information Printing) and point of sale/purchase labels. Both products are suitable for food applications.
Parade Prima High Gloss is the high gloss line extension of Sappi’s premium Parade Prima one-side coated white labelling paper aimed at the dry goods sector. Available in grammages of 80 and 90g/m2, it is suitable for wet and dry glue labelling and purpose designed for high quality offset and flexo printing.
With Parade Prima FS, Sappi is entering the growing market for self-adhesive labels. The 80g/m2 one-side coated white glossy face stock has good dry strength properties and is also designed for offset and flexo printing.
“Both products are market-led,” says Kris Verschueren, Marketing Manager Speciality papers at Sappi in Europe. “Parade Prima High Gloss responds to the current demand in food wrapping for contrasting matt and gloss finishes to provide greater consumer attraction, while Parade Prima FS caters to the increasing number of print on demand applications and smaller run promotional or special product labelling.”
Parade Prima High Gloss can be seen in action on the MAN Roland stand within PrintCity at Drupa (Hall 6-D28) and printed samples, as well as further information on the complete Parade range, are available on the Sappi stand (Hall 6-B40). Other products in the Parade range include Parade Aqua and Parade Souplesse for wet strength labelling aimed respectively at non-returnable PVC, PET and glass bottles and jars, and PET and glass returnable bottles.
