Offset Monterrey Chooses 40-inch Diamond 3000LS for its First Mitsubishi Sheetfed Press

Wednesday 02. April 2008 - Offset Monterrey S.A. de C.V., a noted Mexican printing company, has added its first Mitsubishi press to its pressroom. The commercial sheetfed and web printer installed the Diamond 3000LS sheetfed press with aqueous coater.

With its emphasis on product versatility and fast makereadies, the six-color, 28 x 40-inch press offers the highest technology to meet Offset Monterrey’s demanding requirements for productivity, quality and speed.

Founded in 1992 by Alejandro Villanueva, Offset Monterrey is noted for its modern production equipment and for being at the forefront of the Mexican printing industry. The company has grown steadily over the years, becoming the leading printer of promotional flyers. Running both sheetfed and web presses, Offset Monterrey has the capacity to print one million pieces per day.

Prior to installing the Diamond 3000LS, Offset Monterrey exclusively operated MAN Roland presses. The Mitsubishi press joined a four-color, 23 x 29-inch convertible sheetfed perfector and a five-unit, 16-page web press.

Offset Monterrey is located in the province of Nuevo León, Mexico’s largest industrial region, as well as the nation’s leading graphic arts region. Nuevo León boasts the highest per capita income of Latin America.

Villanueva, the second generation of a family with a long tradition in the Mexican graphic arts industry, was the youngest president of the Nuevo León chapter of CANAGRAF (Cámara Nacional de la Industria de Artes Gráficas). CANAGRAF is the premier graphic arts organization in Mexico.
