EskoArtwork presents Kongsberg digital cutting systems at Sign & Print Scandinavia 2008
Friday 29. February 2008 - Innovative cutting & workflow solutions for sign and display market
At Sign & Print Scandinavia, the key event for the Sign and Display market taking place in the Bella Center, Copenhagen (Denmark) from 12 till 14 March, EskoArtwork will be presenting its Kongsberg digital cutting systems with i-cut Vision System. The company will showcase its i-cut vision control system and i-script workflow, integrated with the Kongsberg i-XL44 on the Schneidler stand H014. The company will also demonstrate the Kongsberg i-XE10 on the Esko Kongsberg stand H027.
The adoption of flatbed digital printing in the sign, display and POP sectors has dynamically expanded creative design possibilities and placed a greater emphasis on digital finishing solutions.
EskoArtwork’s Kongsberg i-XL series complements digital printing of ridged signs and displays by delivering a unique finishing solution for the widest range of materials, providing automation, high productivity and outstanding precision. Targeted printed materials include foam board, vinyl foils, acrylics, polycarbonates, Dibond, rigid PVC, wood, textiles, card stock, corrugated cardboard, plywood and high pressure laminates.
EskoArtwork’s Kongsberg i-XE series interacts with digital printing of signs and displays by delivering extreme high efficiency with perfect cutting quality for the complete range of materials – combined with easy and fast set-up for automated production. Popular printed materials include sign vinyl, foils, label stock, foamboard, polycarbonates, Styrene, PVC, textiles, card stock, corrugated cardboard and magnetics.
The Kongsberg i-XE and i-XL finishing tables are regarded as the industrys most cost-effective machines, loaded with unique features that save time and boost quality. With the optional SheetFeeder units the systems provide capabilities for long run sizes in automatic production mode – practically without operator interference. The automated workflow set-up incorporates BAR-code reading for instant file retrieval and project initiation.
During Sign & Print Scandinavia, EskoArtwork will demonstrate the innovative i-cut 6.2, the Vision control system and i-script workflow that generates exact registration and direct control for die-less cutting contours to perfectly match printed images. The i-cut camera measures each printed object using register marks to define the position and to compensate for any dimensional changes, distortions or material variations like shrinkage or stretching.
Armand Gougay, EskoArtwork Vice-President Sales and Marketing, is enthusiastic about the show: “The sign and display market for large format printing is expanding in Scandinavia.
