Amber uncoated products from Arctic Paper now FSC certified
Wednesday 20. February 2008 - Arctic Paper now offer the market even more FSC certified qualities by offering FSC certification on all three Amber qualities on customer request. This means Arctic Paper continues to be the leading fine paper supplier in Europe offering FSC-certificate paper qualities.
FSC is the leading environmental certificate on the global paper industry when it comes to both quantity and quality. In five years, the worlds inquire on FSC certificate paper has reached 6,5 million ton. Totally, the inquire on all paper in the world has increased with 2,3 percent each year during the same period*.
Since February 1st, the three paper qualities Amber Graphic, Amber Preprint and Amber Volume are available with FSC certificate. Forest certification has the aim of ensuring that the forests are managed in a sustainable way. Arctic Papers engagement in the environmental issues is a long term commitment.
The Amber qualities are especially recognised for their good runnability and printability. Amber is well recognised among European printers as an ideal uncoated housepaper.

Therefore, it feels very good to be able to offer this FSC certificate to an even broader range of paper and the FSC certificate on all three Amber qualities now gives our customers more opportunities. Since before the Munken and Arctic products already have a FSC certificate. Among certifying institutions FSC also has the strictest criteria for ecological forest treatment,” says Piotr Kowalski, Product Manager for Amber.
Amber Graphic is a white, uncoated fine paper which is used for books, manuals, advertising material and brochures in mono and full colour. Amber Volume is a woodfree high white bulky uncoated paper. It is specially suited for all kinds of educational publishing applications such as schoolbooks, academic literature and reference material. Amber Preprint is a high white, technically advanced, uncoated paper, developed for direct mail, invoices, letterheads and advertising material.
