FUJIFILM ANNOUNCES NEW FRONTIER WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE FOR THE RETAIL PHOTOFINISHER

Monday 28. January 2008 - New Frontier Workflow Management Software "MS" Expands Frontier Solution, Improves Workflow Management and Improves Picture Quality

FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. today announced its new Frontier Workflow Management Software “MS” for the Frontier Digital Lab Systems. The software is designed to expand Frontier solutions and help photofinishing retailers streamline workflow management and improve picture quality. With this announcement, Fujifilm reaffirms its commitment to the photofinishing market by providing software that is efficient and produces high quality Fujifilm prints.

The Frontier Workflow Management Software “MS” supports all Frontier printers, including the new Frontier Dry Minilab 400, and incorporates Frontier Manager’s functionality and features. With this software, the Frontier operator is able to scan film while the system processes digital orders from multiple sources. The print queue continues accepting orders from the scanner, Frontier PIC, and GetPix Kiosks that utilize the new GetPix Kiosk Software “TS” release, and Fujifilm’s Get the Picture Online Service. The software then analyzes the orders, assigns priorities based on customer requirements, stores orders in a print queue, and schedules printing to meet individual order deadlines.

The Frontier Workflow MS solution maximizes productivity by:

Accepting orders from multiple kiosks without affecting performance.

The Frontier Workflow Management Software “MS” also raises the bar on digital print quality and creates sharp, vivid, high quality prints using Fujifilm’s Imaging Intelligence. For more than 70 years Fujifilm has been at the forefront of developing and improving image quality through Fujifilm’s proprietary Image Intelligence technology — recognized as one of the best tools for sophisticated image enhancement, and advanced image processing.

With the new Frontier Workflow Management Software “MS”, images are rendered at a faster rate than pervious versions of Frontier workflow software, due to a new design that provides faster processing of image file data in preparation for the print engine. The Graphical User Interface has been optimized for ideal operator efficiency, so that navigation of workflow is optimal for efficiency in operation. Print orders are faster, with less error, making it easier for lab operator training. The Optional Six Frame Correction feature provides an enhanced user interface for high accuracy in operator image correction and enhancement, for professional-quality printed photo results.
