Friday 18. January 2008 - Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. confirms that talks regarding the acquisition of Demag Plastics Group by Sumitomo have occurred.

The transaction is not finalized yet. Sumitomo will make a press release when the Board of Directors decides the acquisition.
