Cefla Finishing: a new cutting-edge finishing line between past and future for Desicor

October 2024 - To obtain even higher-quality finishes, Desicor wanted to upgrade its production line by integrating a latest generation Smartcoater Pro roller machine into its existing roller coating line - consisting of machines purchased over many years, with some dating back to over 20 years ago.
Desicor is a major Portuguese industry player active in several sectors, including the production of top quality coated furniture and furnishings exported world-wide under the Oneskin brand.
The challenge for the Cefla Finishing BU was to combine traditional coating technologies with the most advanced ones into an integrated and flexible system, creating a finishing line capable of offering the best of both worlds. Cefla Finishing has therefore planned the seamless integration of new technologies into existing machines, achieving an effective, prompt upgrading of the customer’s production system, thanks to the addition of a Smartcoater-Pro roller coating machine to the end part of the line.
The new finishing line consists of heterogeneous solutions that operate together seamlessly, ensuring productivity, efficiency and outstanding quality. A range of technologies, latest-generation machines and Cefla solutions developed 20 years ago and still working flawlessly: all of these have been merged to create a high-performance line that delivers flexible colour changeovers without any interruption to production – proof that the combination of tradition and innovation is key to achieving excellence in the industrial finishing sector.

In addition to reducing the environmental impact of the production line, this transition will enhance efficiency and lower costs.
