For the best die-cutting results with thick materials: Marbach cutting-dies for honeycomb board

Friday 02. August 2024 - The globally operating diemaker Marbach not only has tools for die-cutting paperboard and corrugated board in its portfolio but also special tools for die-cutting particularly thick materials. One of these materials is honeycomb board.

Honeycomb board is very popular and is increasingly being used for a wide range of transport protection solutions.
Michael Kiesel, Sales Manager at Marbach: “Die-cutting honeycomb board requires a particularly stable and robust tool. This is because honeycomb board is not easy to die-cut due to its honeycomb structure and material thickness. In addition, a tool for thick materials must have special equipment: This includes special knives, a suitable anvil and special ejector technology.”
Another requirement is that the tool has to be individually tailored to the customer’s needs and the material to be die-cut. Kiesel continues: “Only if all these factors are taken into account the tool can perfectly penetrate the thick material and deliver optimal die-cutting results.” With Marbach’s special tools for honeycomb board, thick materials can therefore be die-cut safely and reliably.
