drupa review of WEILBURGER Graphics
Friday 05. July 2024 - Although these figures are significantly below those of the last drupa in 2016 (260,000 visitors, 1,800 exhibitors), the high level of expertise and decision-making competence of this years visitors was particularly positively emphasized.
A highly successful drupa participation can be celebrated by WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH, an internationally renowned manufacturer of varnishes, inks and adhesives for the graphic arts industry. The company exhibited at drupa 2024 in Düsseldorf in Hall 1 Stand A24 together with IST METZ GmbH & Co. KG and Kocher+Beck GmbH & Co. rotary die-cutting technology KG.
This year’s drupa is considered a complete success by Messe Düsseldorf. According to the organizers, a total of 170,000 visitors from 174 countries made their way to Düsseldorf from 28 May to 7 June to find out about the latest trends in the printing and packaging industry from a total of 1,643 exhibitors from 52 nations.
This is also reflected in the final trade fair statistics of WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH. The company was able to exceed its expectations in all areas at its stand, which was very well attended throughout the trade fair. With over 500 registered trade fair contacts, consisting of both existing customers and a pleasingly high number of new contacts, the company is more than satisfied. In retrospect, Monday, June 3 and Tuesday, June 4 were the strongest days of the trade fair. On these two days, the 20-strong WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH trade fair team said they could hardly keep up with guiding trade fair visitors through the company’s extensive product range, presenting the print samples produced especially for drupa and explaining the company’s focus on quality, innovation and sustainability in detail.
Günter Korbacher, Managing Director of WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH, on the company’s participation at drupa: “This year was the first time we exhibited at a joint stand with IST Metz and Kocher+Beck and we were curious to see whether and how this would be received by visitors to the trade fair. And we have to admit: We are overwhelmed. Even three weeks after drupa, we are still receiving an increasing number of inquiries about our products and services and are being approached about our accomplished drupa appearance. This has a lasting effect – also in our minds. Our print samples were very well received by the public. Our interactive 3D models of these samples, which make it possible to visualize and experience our products on the Internet for the first time, and our feature-packed service app were recognized as excellent examples of our innovative strength. And our well thought-out trade fair stand concept – not least because of the impressive, three-meter screen visible from afar, on which our new, almost futuristic-looking image video was shown, which made our innovative leap since the last drupa very easy to understand – was also extremely well received by the public and received consistently positive feedback.” Günter Korbacher continues: “But above all, the proximity to IST and the HEIDELBERG Speedmaster XL 106-8-LYY-1+L installed there on the joint stand and producing live with our UV coatings paid off massively for us. This is what visitors want to see at drupa and what attracts visitors. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank our trade fair partners IST METZ and Kocher+Beck for this fantastic joint drupa presentation. I would also like to thank our entire team, whose tireless efforts made this success possible in the first place, as well as everyone involved who contributed to this joint success.”
In keeping with the international orientation of drupa, WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH also invited its international dealers and sales partners to the trade fair and organized a partners meeting to accompany drupa. The company welcomed more than 80 guests from 20 countries both to its stand and to the evening partners’ dinner on June 3 at the Sonnendeck in Düsseldorf, where they were informed about new products and company news.
Arno Dürr, Sales Manager at WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH, commented: “In addition to quality, innovation and sustainability, at WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH we focus above all on a comprehensive service culture that is practiced at all levels. Our customers know that they can rely on us and our competent support and advice in all areas. To ensure that this service also works internationally, we regularly invite our valued international dealers and sales partners to visit us and obtain comprehensive information about new products and offers. Naturally, this also applies to drupa. Our international success would certainly not be possible without this long-standing partner network. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank our sales and service partners once again for making the long journey to visit us in Düsseldorf.”
