Excelitas showcasing specialized sensing and imaging technologies at Automate 2024 Show
Monday 29. April 2024 - Excelitas Technologies Corp. a leading industrial technology manufacturer focused on delivering innovative, market-driven photonic solutions, will highlight its extensive portfolio of cutting-edge sensor and imaging solutions at Automate 2024.
As North America’s largest robotics and automation event, A3 Automate is the place for anyone working with or interested in the state of automation. Excelitas will present a series of product demonstrations related to its sensing, detection, and imaging technologies. A full list of scheduled demonstration activities at Automate booth 4070 includes:
Realtime LiDAR 3D cloud imaging demonstration featuring Excelitas TPG3AD1S09 – 905 nm Generation 3 Pulsed Laser Diodes. The TPG3AD1S09 pulsed laser diodes are a compact SMD high-efficiency 905 nm edge-emitting laser diode. A power slope of 3 W/A and enhanced output power of 120 W (at 40 A) extend the detection range for advanced robotic guidance and LiDAR mapping systems.
High-speed object recognition demo integrates the new pco.dimax 3.6 ST Streaming, High-Speed Camera with an AI software application to visually isolate specific set appearances of “P-C-O” letters in a high-speed alphabetic “storm”. This unique streaming camera captures crystal clear images at a recording speed of over 2000 fps at a resolution of 3.6 Mpixel, making it ideal for use in high-speed sorting, analysis and inspection applications.
Automated industrial OCT imaging demonstration featuring the Axsun Azmyth High-Speed, tunable VCSEL Laser Engine: Excelitas Swept-Source OCT Lasers provide the underlying technology for cutting edge high-resolution, high-speed, 3D surface and sub-surface imaging on a wide variety of materials. OCT-generated images may be analyzed using off-the-shelf image analysis software for inspection, measurement, and defect detection. This demonstration includes our SS-OCT laser integrated with a scanner, optics, robotic arm, and image analysis software.
An integrated widefield imaging demo will be on display featuring our pco.edge 26 sCMOS Camera and LINOS d.fine HR-M Series Lens. The pco.edge 26 is available with either USB or CLHS interface and features a 5120 x 5120 pixel resolution and 2.5 x 2.5 µm pixel size to achieve highest spatial resolution critical for microscopy, quality control and high-throughput screening. Designed to maximize imaging efficiency and wide field-of-view throughput, the new LINOS d.fine HR-M Lens Series delivers ultra-fine resolution to the corners of the field-of-view to ensure consistent imaging across full-format sensors and long-line 16K format sensors with pixels sizes down to 3.5µm.
TPiS
S 1385 Calipile SMD demonstration for motion detection and presence monitoring: The first and only multi-function thermopile sensor of its kind, the TPiS 1S 1385 CaliPile Sensor represents a new generation of intelligent PIR sensors, capable of motion detection, presence monitoring and temperature measurement, all from a single, compact sensor package.
The new pco.scheimpflug Camera Adapter allows quick and easy fine adjustment of the focal plane to oblique angles. This enables the user to achieve selective focus, expanded depth-of-field, and improved sharpness across three-dimensional objects within a single image capture.
