Enfocus releases Switch 2022 Fall
Wednesday 14. December 2022 - Key new and improved features in Switch 2022 Fall include the addition of Rush Jobs to Switch Job Boards. Users can now change the priority of a job within the web portal to ensure it receives the highest priority throughout the Switch workflow.
Enfocus, the leading provider of PDF quality control and automated workflows for the graphic design industry, today released the Fall 2022 update for Switch, its market-leading automation platform.
Key new and improved features in Switch 2022 Fall include the addition of Rush Jobs to Switch Job Boards. Users can now change the priority of a job within the web portal to ensure it receives the highest priority throughout the Switch workflow.
“Jobs in the queue are processed in FIFO order by default in Switch,” explains Davy Verstaen, Switch Product Manager at Enfocus. “But what if an urgent job comes in and there are too many jobs ahead of it in the queue for it to be processed quickly enough? That’s where Rush Jobs come in. You now have the option to move jobs up in the queue so that they are processed more quickly. And if there’s a problem with a job you need to repeat, you can now give it immediate priority over other jobs.”
The Job Board now also offers the ability to filter and sort the new Rush jobs.
The Fall 2022 update for Switch also includes improvements to the Client module, major additions to the Scripting module and various UX improvements. These include:
Client module
HTML description in transfer points
Scripting module
Extracting and querying XMP information from PDF files with XMP support in Node.js
Job exchange without direct connection with sendToChannel and subscribeToChannel in Node.js
Scheduling a job with processLater in Node.js to be processed at a later time
Termination entry point so you know in your script when a termination is required and can process it accordingly
UX improvements
Improved consistency when navigating the web portal menu.
