Wednesday 19. January 2022 - In the new version, pdfaPilot 11 now offers a concept for defining page ranges in order to harmonise the configuration options.. This applies in particular to barcodes, the creation and application of shapes, the generation of links or the setting of page geometry frames.
callas software, a leading provider of automated PDF quality assurance and archiving solutions, has released a major update to its pdfaPilot product line. pdfaPilot 11 includes, among other things, numerous enhancements that callas already implemented in pdfToolbox 13, which was released in November last year. In the major update, new features have been added and existing functions have been improved so that users can take full advantage of PDF/A conversion.
In the new version, pdfaPilot 11 now offers a uniform concept for defining page ranges in order to harmonise the configuration options in checks and corrections. This applies in particular to barcodes, the creation and application of shapes, the generation of links or the setting of page geometry frames. Likewise, the switchboard offers various new actions. These include the ability to remove embedded fonts and to convert images contained in the document to JPEG2000 format. In addition, callas has added a new configuration editor for font replacement. A new JSON-based report with customisable details about the PDF and its subsequent processing is also among the new features of pdfaPilot 11.
Dietrich von Seggern, Managing Director of callas software GmbH, says: “The further development of our pdfaPilot product line has once again taken into account a great deal of feedback from our customers and sales partners. We hope that the new release will enable them to master their challenges in the PDF environment even better.”
