Safe re-start: Heimtextil starts in a few weeks with high international participation
Thursday 25. November 2021 - In addition to personal business encounters, the re-start of Heimtextil after a two-year trade fair break will furthermore make possible again what neither private showrooms nor digital product presentations can provide.
From January 11 to 14, 2022, Heimtextil opens its doors with admission for vaccinated or recovered participants and will be all about re-starting safe, personal encounters during onsite trade fair visits. Thanks to HeimtextilÂ’s comprehensive safety and hygiene concept, the current regulations of the state and federal governments will be met in all respects. Messe Frankfurt’s global network of subsidiaries and sales partners also confirms that almost all trade fair customers have been vaccinated with EU-approved vaccines.
Finally, new international contacts, inspiring business encounters, intensive networking – and experiencing textile innovations offline: The anticipation of personal face-to-face exchanges is greater than ever. Being the most important international trade fair for home and contract textiles, Heimtextil 2022 brings together retailers, wholesalers, designers, furnishing or bedding retailers, interior decorators, architects, hotel outfitters and many other decision makers together with a diverse range of international product innovations and trends in textile interior design – on site at one meeting point.
In addition to personal business encounters, the re-start of Heimtextil after a two-year trade fair break will furthermore make possible again what neither private showrooms nor digital product presentations can provide: a bundled and thus efficient market overview of trends in the home textiles industry on one central platform on site in Frankfurt.
High international participation thanks to high vaccination rates
The federal and governmental regulations, which have been in force since November 22, 2021, confirm that Heimtextil can be held with admission for vaccinated or recovered participants. The industry platform Formnext also clearly demonstrated in mid-November: International trade fairs can also be successfully held on site under these conditions.
“With regard to the official obligated admission for vaccinated or recovered participants, we are also pleased to have valid results from our global network of subsidiaries and sales partners of Messe Frankfurt, corroborating that almost all participating exhibitors along with their teams from all international core markets of Heimtextil have been vaccinated with approved vaccines. Similar results are available for the visitor side,” explains Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies. Based on this, Heimtextil 2022 can take place in the planned breadth and depth on ten hall levels with around 1500 exhibitors from 50 countries.
“For this very reason, the health and safety of all participants is our top priority,” continues Schmidt. “Our comprehensive safety and hygiene concept has already proven successful at previous trade fairs. In addition to Formnext, which was recently held in mid-November at the Frankfurt exhibition center, these include as well the Book Fair a few weeks ago and Automechanika, which was held in September. Both fairs were also held at our exhibition center here in Frankfurt.”
According to the current status, trade fair participants must present up-to-date proof of vaccination or convalescence at the entrance. In addition, there are further measures taken such as online ticketing, one hundred percent fresh air supply, generous design of halls and entrances to maintain safety distances, and intensive cleaning measures.
Heimtextil will be held from 11 to 14 January 2022.
