Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems unveils new production line and cutting-edge tooling innovations
Thursday 20. May 2021 - Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems will showcase its new compact cutting table - the latest in the market-leading Kongsberg C-Series and the most compact high-speed production table on the market - at this unique event in the EMEA region.
The company will be showcasing its latest innovations for the sign and display market at this month’s FESPA Wide Format virtual event.
The live FESPA Innovations & Trends (FIT) event series on 26 May will also feature Stuart Fox, Kongsberg President, and Russell Weller, VP Sales EMEA, where further details of the cutting table will be revealed.
“While companies across the industry continue to struggle in the current climate, it is increasingly important to invest in technology that delivers not only efficiency, but also the high quality that customers demand,” emphasises Russell Weller. “We are delighted to be sponsoring an event that showcases the latest technological innovations that can help businesses meet today’s ever-increasing challenges while keeping an eye on their future development and success.”
As well as showcasing the new Kongsberg C cutting table, the company will be giving the live online audience an exclusive look at the latest innovations from Kongsberg PCS, including the unique VariAngle tool. “The VariAngle tool is truly a breakthrough innovation for the industry,” said Russell Weller. “It allows cutting at any angle from 0o to 60o at high speeds and does not require a tool change, resulting in shorter set-up times and an increase in cutting speed – all with complete flexibility in designing creative 3D displays,” he explains. “The VariAngle live demos offer a first look at the tool for many interested parties. They show how it enables completely stand-alone operation for existing Kongsberg C and XP cutting tables to provide any creative design.”
Russell Weller adds that a second presentation – again live from the company’s Customer Experience Centre in Belgium – will demonstrate how Kongsberg’s motorised reel feed enables precise and efficient cutting of soft signage materials and prevents inaccurate cuts on soft signage jobs due to wrinkles, stretch distortion or incompletely wound reels. The third and final live demonstration will focus on milling applications, with the team demonstrating the many capabilities of the Kongsberg X24 digital finishing system and tools specifically designed to simplify and speed up jobs.
The Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems virtual stand will be staffed by the EMEA sales team, who will be on hand to provide further information on the range of digital finishing equipment, as well as the variety of tools and automation solutions available to improve quality and efficiency.
