TFP of Poland Invests in HP PageWide C500 Corrugated Press to Innovate Packaging
Monday 03. May 2021 - TFP of Poland, a large provider of corrugated solutions, today announced its investment in a new HP PageWide C500 digital corrugated press to provide innovative digital corrugated services to brands and corrugated converters in Europe.
The industrial-scale press will be the first HP PageWide C500 unit installed in Poland, operating in Kornik at TFPs main corrugated sheet and box plant in Western Poland. The press will enable TFP to serve as a wholesale trade sheet converter for the local market as well as deliver on-demand, variable sized and personalized products for brand clients in Poland, Germany and central Europe.

According to Tylenda, a key market for the HP PageWide corrugated print is TFPs eco-concerned customers. “Companies more focused on the environment will choose the water-based ink solution and not UV,” he said.
HP PageWides C500 true water-based inks can be used to print the most sensitive corrugated box applications, including for food products and agricultural produce coming in direct contact with the inside of the box. The HP inks can meet stringent food safety requirements such as USDA FDA 21 CFR, Nestlé guidance, Swiss Ordinance, and EuPIA.
The HP PageWide C500, based on HP Thermal Inkjet technology, provides offset print quality for a wide range of corrugated packaging and display applications on both coated and uncoated sheets, delivering sharp text and barcodes, smooth tone transitions and vivid colors, for low to high migration volume of litho and flexo jobs. Designed for producing high quality print in demanding production environments, the press prints at 75 meter/min (246 linear ft/min) in top print quality with 1200 npi resolution using one million nozzles.
The HP C500 reduces the cost of manufacturing boxes and opens new business opportunities with digital flexibility, direct-to-board printing, and scaled volume production.
