ONLINEPRINTERS invests in another HP Indigo 100K
Wednesday 05. August 2020 - ONLINEPRINTERS GmbH has signed another contract for a second HP Indigo 100K. The print shop is consequently further modernizing its digital printing capacities. The new digital press will be installed at the production site in Neustadt an der Aisch in August and will replace two HP Indigo 10000 presses. ONLINEPRINTERS had received the first HP Indigo 100K in beta last autumn and was one of the first customers of the new HP Indigo 100K worldwide.
With more than 1,600 employees and sales in 30 countries, the ONLINEPRINTERS Group is one of the leading online printing companies in Europe. In addition to conventional printed advertising materials such as business cards, stationery and flyers as well as catalogs and brochures, the print service provider also offers large-format advertising systems for trade fairs and events in its more than 20 web shops.
The company has relied on HP Indigo technology for many years and relies on a homogeneous machine park for both offset and digital printing. The positive experience – not least due to the recently installed HP Indigo 100K – was decisive for the new investment in another HP Indigo 100K. “The technology partnership with HP really paid off for us. In terms of productivity as well as in terms of print quality. We were able to put the HP Indigo 100K through its paces before the actual product launch – and the machine convinced us in all areas, “says Jürgen Winkler, Director Operations at ONLINEPRINTERS GmbH. “The machine has recently been in regular use under full load. Accordingly, the decision to invest in another HP Indigo 100K is only logical. “
In addition to the well-known quality of the Indigo technology, the HP Indigo 100K particularly impressed with its significantly improved economy. This means that more print jobs can be shifted from offset to digital printing. This is ensured on the one hand by the increased print volume of up to 6,000 B2 sheets per hour and at the same time by the improvement in the automatic handling of a wide variety of grammages without additional makeready times. The automated color calibration for the next print job in ongoing production increases efficiency even more.
“With the HP Indigo 100K, we are gaining long-term strategic competitive advantages, especially when it comes to efficiently processing the increasing number of short runs,” emphasizes Winkler.
