MADA Marx Datentechnik GmbH installs Germanys first HP Indigo 7K

Wednesday 01. July 2020 - German company MADA Marx Datentechnik GmbH is adding an HP Indigo 7K press to its printing fleet, making it the first customer to install the recently announced digital press. MADA Marx has been known for developing and implementing identification solutions for more than 40 years, including ISO-compliant plastic cards such as ID cards, customer cards and access control cards.

MADA Marx Datentechnik GmbH has always relied on HP Indigo technology for printing sophisticated solutions with variable data and personalisation options. The HP Indigo 7K is already the company’s third digital press from HP, replacing an outdated HP Indigo 5600.
“We have been working successfully with HP for many years. Our employees know the technology and the possibilities. Furthermore, our experience with the click-cost model has been positive, which helps us to plan and calculate costs,” emphasises Patrick Marx, Managing Director, MADA Marx Datentechnik GmbH.
As with previous investments, quality and high colour stability were pivotal. The integrated spectrophotometer which monitors the colours during operation was assessed particularly well. The ability to print substrates with a height of up to 550 micrometres was also a decisive factor for MADA Marx Datentechnik GmbH.
“The application and individualisation possibilities of plastic cards are almost infinite. The custom-made cards are composed of several plastic layers; the front and back can be individually designed, printed, coded and personalised. With the HP Indigo 7K, we can now offer our customers even more versatile and individual designs and deliver them within a very short time frame,” says Marx.
On the partnership with MADA Marx, Haim Levit, General Manager, HP Indigo said, “We’re really pleased that our long term partner, MADA Marx Datentechnik GmbH, has decided to add the HP Indigo 7k to its portfolio. With the widest application range in the industry, the HP Indigo 7k offers endless opportunities and we look forward to seeing the additional versatile options MADA will offer.”
Announced in March, the SRA3+ HP Indigo 7K prints up to 160 A4 pages per minute in EPM mode. The press can be configured with up to seven colour stations. Additional specialty inks such as metallic ink, fluorescent ink, invisible ink, etc. enable even more options.
