Finishing & Screen Printing
Daco at Labelexpo
Tuesday 10. September 2019 - Daco Solutions will exhibit at Labelexpo Europe 2019 a Daco PLD350, and the new Daco DF250SRD semi-rotary die cutter and the Daco DP350 UV inkjet digital label press.
The all-new Daco DF250SRD is a very compact modular semi-rotary die cutter. Finish labels from smaller digital presses, add an inkjet system to print and finish in one pass or manufacture plain labels cost-effectively for desktop digital printers. The DF250 is a very cost-effective solution to label finishing from smaller digital label presses. The machine is capable of running in semi-rotary mode of up to 65m/min (213 ft/minute) or in full rotary mode 175m/minute (574 ft/minute). The machine will be exhibited with our new Daco DBS-ES easy set back scoring system for edge trim removal.
Daco SRD250 Semi-Rotary Die Cutter
The Daco PLD rotary die cutter with a semi-automatic turret rewinder offers all the benefits of turret rewinding but with rapid make-ready times, unlike conventional turret rewinding. This allows shorter runs to be produced both quickly and more efficiently.
Daco PLD350 with die cut to register rotary die station
The PLD is a very efficient rotary die cutter with a semi-automatic turret rewinder for small roll production. Unlike traditional die cutters, where the machine is stopped for a considerable time while operators cut and re-apply the web to the cores. The semi-automatic turret is only stopped for a few seconds while the turret indexes. New cores are applied to the rewind shaft while the machine is in production; the turret automatically cuts the web and applies the web to the new cores. The machine has job storage to allow quick and easy repeatable setups.
The PLD range is available in 250mm (10″), 350mm (13.75″) and 430mm (17″) web widths and utilises air shafts from ¾” to 3″ (19-76mm)
The Daco DP350 inkjet label press in conjunction with Inkjet Solutions consists of an I-JET600 LABEL CMYK colour unit incorporating Kyocera print heads and a GEW UV dryer. The machine can be seen running on stand 9A24.
The DP350 in its basic form has 700mm (30″) unwind and rewinds with the option to add inline slitting, die-cutting options (full and semi-rotary), Meech web cleaning and Vetaphone corona treatment.
The machine running will be a CMYK with semi-rotary die-cutting
