Package printing single pass – Pantec/GEWA open house during Drupa

Wednesday 01. June 2016 - To date high-quality luxury packaging is very expensive to manufacture, since the process is usually divided into several process steps. On the contrary, single pass web in-line packaging printing opens up completely new possibilities for printers to produce cost effective with a very short lead time. In-line hot-foiling, embossing and hologram insetting is possible, since high-performance systems like the rotary stamping system CHEETAH or the flatbed RHINO by Pantec GS Systems speed up to 150 m/min to produce POS teasing brilliance in-line.

Web in-line is a great business opportunity for narrow web printers to extend the use of their existing equipment but also a big chance for packaging printers to shorten delivery times and improve their cost structure.

In cooperation with the renowned company GEWA Etiketten, near Frankfurt, Pantec GS Systems organizes an open house demo on June 3rd and 9th to demonstrate how luxury packaging can be manufactured in-line from blank substrate to finished pack at the GEWA premises. You will see the future – the combination of printing (offset, flexo, screen printing) and high end refining (micro embossing, debossing, security features, die cutting), single pass!
