Label printers worldwide rave about the Xeikon CX3 digital label press

Xeikon, an innovator in digital color printing technology, reports extremely positive feedback for its groundbreaking Xeikon CX3 digital label press, based on Xeikon Cheetah digital print technology. Introduced last year at Labelexpo Americas, Xeikon’s Cheetah technology has been in pilot operation at five sites around the world, where it has delivered outstanding performance. As of September 29, the opening day of Labelexpo Europe and one year after its market launch, the Xeikon CX3 will be available for order taking. “Heading to Labelexpo Europe and the formal launch of the Xeikon CX3,” says Wim Maes, Xeikon’s CEO, “we reached out to our pilot customers for an update on their experiences with the press and the difference it is making to their businesses. We were, quite honestly, overwhelmed by the impact this press is having and the positive reinforcement we are getting from our pilot sites. It’s worth sharing their feedback in their own words.”
In their own words …
The first installation worldwide was at Mercian Labels, a UK-based manufacturer of custom printed self-adhesive labels, cartons and security seals. The company invested in the Xeikon Cheetah technology to help it continue its double-digit growth path.
According to Dr. Adrian Steele, Managing Director: “We are delighted with the productivity, reliability and quality of the Xeikon CX3. Faster digital presses such as this one deal with a ‘spikier’ workload more effectively, which is helping us take even more market share despite stiff competition from an increasingly large installation base of high end EP digital label presses in the UK.”
Next up was UK-based CS Labels, a manufacturer of digital self-adhesive labels and packaging and one of the largest digital label printers in Europe using Xeikon technology. With speed increases of close to 60%, Xeikon Cheetah Technology had to enable CS Labels boost its capacity by a third.

Accu-Label was the first North American company to install the Xeikon CX3, complementing its existing digital and flexographic platform. Dedicated to surpassing the expectations of its customers, the company looked for more effective processes by asking, “What’s a better way to do this?”

We have been pleased at the speed and quality with which our labels can be produced and it provides amazing potential for new opportunities. Telrol Group, one of Europe’s largest producers of labels, was the fourth visionary label printing operation to invest in the Xeikon CX3. Working already with five Xeikon presses, Telrol added Xeikon’s Cheetah technology to address new market while staying ahead of fast-paced industry changes.
“The Xeikon CX3 proved to be the game changer we expected it to be. Change in the market is happening extremely quickly. Action Packaging was the fifth and last site to receive a pilot press and the second in North America. The company selected Xeikon Cheetah technology to support its mission of providing high quality products within exceptionally fast turnaround times to its.
