Ograma: “Azura printing plates as part of the DNA”

Thursday 24. September 2015 - "Quality and sustainability are indispensable", Juan Pablo Morgan, General Manager of Impresora Ograma

Commercial printer Ograma (Santiago, Chile) constantly invests in new technologies in order to maintain its leadership and recognized standard of quality in the Chilean market. In addition, the company has a constant concern for the environment.

For these reasons, Ograma was one of the first to use Agfa Graphics’ Azura plates, which in their more then ten years existence became the benchmark for sustainable printing plates and the most used globally.

“We have a long-term relationship with Agfa Graphics; we rely on the service and quality of their products”, says Juan Pablo Morgan, general manager of Impresora Ograma. “We use Azura because it is clean plate, free of chemicals, and because it offers a high quality – premises that are of great importance to us.”

10+ Years of Azura

To celebrate more than a decade of the world’s leading chemistry-free printing plate, Agfa Graphics puts twelve users from all over the world in the spotlights between September 2014 and September 2015. Each of these customers also receives a customized celebration cake.

In its 30 years in business, Ograma has established a reputation for qualitative print products, honored with the most important awards of the Latin American printing industry. Quality standards and investments in innovative technologies are a constant factor, even more so if they help achieve a sustainable proces. This is also supported by the use of papers that are FSC- and PEFC-certified.

The same view pertains to Agfa Graphics’ Azura printing plates. “We were seeking a printing plate with a number of prerequisites: productivity, high quality and sustainability, among other demands. In fact, we also appreciate a number of technical features in Azura, such as the effortless print resolution level from 1 to 99%, or the fact that the screen ruling offers a definition that is not seen in other thermal plates.”

Azura is a product that was developed with highly demanding printers in mind. No wonder is it the benchmark for sustainable printing plates and the most used chemistry-free printing plate in the world.
