Flint Group opens the 11th Annual Narrow Web Print Awards – Printers are asked to submit their best in print
Monday 11. May 2015 - Flint Group Narrow Web officially opens the 11th annual Narrow Web Print Awards competition with this "CALL FOR ENTRIES". Label converters from around the globe are encouraged to submit sample labels of their choosing for evaluation by a panel of industry judges.
The winners of this prestigious award will be announced during a live event at the Flint Group stand at Labelexpo Europe in Brussels on Wednesday, September 30. Flint Group will unveil the names of those printers whose submissions exemplify excellence and entrepreneurship in this wide world of narrow web printing.
In 2013 and 2014, Flint Group challenged printers in the wider world of narrow web by highlighting a special category for narrow web packaging applications.
Niklas Olsson, Global Brand Manager, comments, “The unequalled success we experienced with submissions in narrow web packaging applications demands an encore of this genre in 2015. We encourage printers to demonstrate the enriched pallet of applications that are possible using narrow-mid web presses, utilising any print method of their choice – water-based flexo, UV flexo, UV offset, or a combination thereof.”
Mr. Olsson continues, “Additionally, we want to pay tribute to the pioneering spirit we see in narrow web, and therefore proudly announce the first ever LED UV print competition by officially opening a new category called ‘LED UV Printing.’ For this special category we ask pioneers of the industry to come forward and provide examples of LED UV print with a challenge to be the first winner of the LED UV Print Award.”
Flint Group has received hundreds of submissions every year since the first competition in 2005; presenting this prestigious award to more than 65 companies globally. In 2014, Flint Group presented awards in 12 different categories at Labelexpo Americas – all submissions using inks, coatings, and specialty products that were supplied by Flint Group Narrow Web.
Commenting on the awards, Mr. Niklas Olsson, Narrow Web Global Brand Manager for Flint Group, said, “We are tremendously pleased and honored to receive so many print sample submissions year after year; this proves that the Narrow Web Print Awards is held in serious and respected regard by our customers around the world. As we celebrate our 11th anniversary, we are extremely proud, as an ink supplier, to host this friendly competition honouring our clients’ creative and outstanding work.”
