Print Team switches to Heidelberg for CtP device
Friday 25. April 2014 - Print Team is switching CtP supplier and taking a Suprasetter A52, confident of the reliability of this system and the support and back up provided by Heidelberg.
The company which currently operates across two leased units is moving to new premises in Portland after Easter and it is to this new site the Suprasetter will be delivered.
Chris Smith, the company founder, is invoking his building skills following the completion of the mezzanine floor. It is on this level that the CtP device will sit, alongside offices. Under one roof the company will be able to have a much better physical workflow.
The Suprasetter features an Automatic Top Loader (ATL) which means that plates can be output with minimal operator intervention. It will produce up to 20 plates an hour and will run Saphira Chem-free plates.
Print Team offers a litho and digital printing service to a nationwide customer base. The company is run by Chris, his wife and two sons. Buying their own premises is seen as security for the company moving forward.
“With an excellent year’s trading we felt the need to automate our plate production and free up staff to concentrate on customer service. Having experienced the reliability of Polar guillotines from Heidelberg for around 20 years, we looked no further when it came to sourcing our platemaking equipment,” says Mr Smith.
