Durst consolidates leadership in the ceramics market

Durst, the specialist for industrial inkjet applications and the absolute leader in the digital ceramics decoration markets in Italy and worldwide, hits the accelerator with big investments in R&D, production department expansion and personnel reinforcement with new, highly specialized employees. With more than 400 Gamma systems installed around the world, more than 120 ceramic printers in Italy (18 of them new Gamma models sold since the start of 2013), Durst is reconfirmed as the top maker of digital printing systems for decorating ceramic surfaces and announces imminent technological innovations while continuing to expand across the globe.
Among its latest endeavors is the opening of sales and assistance offices in South Africa, India and the Asia-Pacific area and entry into the Chinese market, setting up a new business company in partnership with C. ILLIES TRADING Co. Ltd. Strategic decisions that delineate an expansion process that includes enlarging the Brixen plant with the addition of more than 6,000 square meters devoted to digital printer assembly to meet growing demand. By spring of 2014 Durst premises in Lienz/Austria will also be inaugurating a new building devoted to making printing systems for the graphic arts market. Other news concerns new hires: Since January 2013, 25 people have increased the Brixen staff, 15 of them wholly devoted to the ceramics sector.
