When the customers are happy, the boss is happy. At FASTSIGNS of Lawrenceville, NJ, the Anapurna M1600 UV inkjet printing system from Agfa Graphics is making lots of people, including the boss, very happy.
FASTSIGNS is a signage, graphics and visual communications company that provides all types of signs and graphics including floor and vehicle graphics, point of purchase and digital signs, labels and decals, architectural and interior décor and more.
At 63-inches (1.6 meters) wide, the Anapurna M1600, a UV-curable inkjet printer with white printing standard, runs at a top speed of 500 ft²/hr. With the installation of the Anapurna M1600, FASTSIGNS increased production speed. The addition of high-quality, in-line white ink means no longer adhering white film to the backs of prints since it prints pre- and post-white. Customers are pleased with the overall effect.
“They are also pleased with the overall print resolution and with the ink adhesion on various substrates such as coro, acrylics, aluminum, wood and PVC,” said Bill Belmont, president, FASTSIGNS (Lawrenceville, NJ). “With the Anapurna M1600, we have been able to react and meet customer demand much more efficiently.”
Thanks to the Anapurna M1600, Belmont says he has been able to capture new markets and now provides graphics for upscale professional corporate settings, high-end retail, museums and university installations.
The Anapurna M1600 was designed to be a heavy-duty, turnkey and complete industrial UV inkjet system, ideal for any “print for pay” industrial environment. A wide range of rigid and roll-to-roll media can be utilized on the Anapurna M1600.
“We developed the Anapurna M1600 to be a production workhorse, combining quality output with ease of use for all types of applications,” said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa Graphics. “With high quality output even under peak workloads, an intuitive operator interface and easy media change-over from rigid to flexible materials, customers like Bill Belmont of FASTSIGNS are finding they are more productive and their customers are happier with the results that the Anapurna M1600 delivers.”
