Méthode Mémo adds new features for remote working

Friday 31. May 2013 - The latest release of EidosMedia's app for mobile journalists and editors delivers new flexibility in newsroom interaction.

Méthode Mémo turns the Apple iPhone and iPad into powerful mobile workstations for journalists and editors on the move. Users can use their devices to write articles and upload them to the newsroom workflow, as well as creating photo and video galleries. Mémo also provides access to newsroom content sources such as wire services, production flows and editorial archives – all subject to normal user permissions and privileges.
The latest release of Méthode Mémo includes important new features adding robustness and flexibility to exchanges with the newsroom. Now journalists can continue to create editorial while other content is uploading in the background. When transmitting a photo, users can choose from a menu of sizes to be uploaded, depending upon where the image is to be used. Remote staff keep track of material uploaded through a status window that shows file size and transmission time.
Even when a network connection is not available, Mémo users can continue to write and edit stories, create and attach pictures and media ready for uploading when a connection becomes available.
Méthode Mémo has been in use at a number of Méthode sites since its first release last year. Many of the latest enhancements are the result of user experience and feedback.
