Start planning your trip around FESPA 2013 with the new FESPA App
Wednesday 29. May 2013 - FESPA today launches its fresh new-look London app for visitors to this year's show - FESPA 2013, 25-29 June 2013 - providing up-to-date show information, social media feeds, exhibitor catalogue, educational content and much more.
The app, developed by US company CrowdTorch, has been designed to assist users with their trip to FESPA before and during the show. With a new look and feel, the app contains a comprehensive overview of event information including exhibitor listings, general event information and details on all FESPA’s show features.
Visitors will benefit from the app by receiving real-time event information including show timings, a floorplan to help visitors navigate their way around the show, seminar listings and conference planner, as well as speaker biographies, exhibitor information and a Flickr photo gallery of the show.
Lynda Sutton, Marketing Manager, FESPA comments: “One of the best features of the FESPA app allows users to create their own personalised agenda to make the most of their FESPA trip, ensuring no destination at the show is missed. Visitors are empowered to create a bespoke event programme where they can highlight seminars, features and stands they’re interested in visiting. The app will then update the user with private notifications about the latest information tailored to their own agenda.”
For social media savvy users, the app links to FESPA’s Twitter, Facebook and YouTube pages, this will allow users to keep up to date with the latest discussions online as well as to encourage them to join in the conversation.
Lynda continues: “Following the success of the FESPA apps for the Barcelona and Hamburg shows, we’re excited to have given the app a fresh new design to help FESPA 2013 visitors make the most of their time at this year’s show in London. In the third quarter of 2012, a report from US consulting firm Strategy Analytics revealed that the number of smartphone users globally rose to above a billion for the first time ever. Therefore as an organisation we feel this is an important way to engage and interact with many of our visitors; providing them with show information at their finger tips.”
The app can be downloaded across all mainstream platforms, including Apple and Android.
