Fuji Xerox Adds Adobe Application Training Menu to Its Color Workflow Operation Startup Support Service

Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. will begin offering the Adobe Application Training Menu from November 1 as a part of the company’s existing Color Workflow Operation Startup Support Service. With the addition of this new Menu, Fuji Xerox now offers an educational program that provides the comprehensive knowledge required by desktop publishing (DTP) professionals, covering all aspects from production to print, including layout, design, data creation, editing, publishing, and printing (Figure 1).
Targeted at existing Fuji Xerox customers, each course lasts six hours and the fee is 20,000 yen (plus tax) per course.
The new Training Menu includes the following four courses: Adobe Photoshop Beginners Course, Adobe Photoshop Intermediate Course, Adobe Illustrator Beginners Course, and Adobe Illustrator Intermediate Course. Using the latest versionNote1 of Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Illustrator CS6, the curriculum covers all functions, including the latest ones introduced in this version.

The main features of the Adobe Application Training Menu are as follows:
1. Practical course contents
The beginners courses are designed to provide an understanding of the basic functions essential to operate each application, as well as associated hands-on training. The course is suitable for those who are new to DTP or are not familiar with Adobe applications. The intermediate courses are designed to expand the skills acquired in the beginners course. Advanced functions and practical techniques are taught through lectures and assignment work. The beginners and intermediate courses together cover most of the functions available in each application.
2. Confirm design output with the latest printers, such as DocuColor 1450 GA
To confirm the design output, these courses make use of the latest color on-demand publishing systems and high quality full-color multifunction devices targeted at the design and graphic arts market, such as the DocuColor 1450 GA.
3. Environment equipped with a Color Management System (CMS)
All courses provide an environment to experience CMS with the latest color management monitorsColorEdge series and MutiSync series by matching the monitors with output devices such as the DocuColor 1450 GA.
The Training Menu is designed for customers who design or do DTP for their work, or those who pursue on-demand printing for their business. On-demand printing requires high quality input; in particular, preparing full-color documents requires professional skills to achieve the most appropriate color printing results. Fuji Xerox supports customers improve their DTP skills, from document creation to print, by adding these four new training courses to the customer education program.
