Fuji Xerox Launches A0 Monochrome Digital Multifunction Device With Enhanced Usability and Functionality
Wednesday 01. August 2012 - On August 17, Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. will launch DocuWide 3035 MF, an A0 digital multifunction device for the engineering market, which efficiently copies and digitizes paper drawings as well as prints wide-format documents, with copy/print speed of three A0-sized pages per minute. Sales for the China and Asia-Pacific markets will commence in October 2012.
While maintaining the multifunction features of the high-spec models, DocuWide 3035 MF contributes to enhanced productivity in technical drawings management by realizing all in one device; copying, scanning and printing. In the fields including manufacturing, construction and civil engineering industries as well as facility operations at public offices, it has been difficult to efficiently share and utilize technical information such as monochrome drawings, drawings with hand-written comments in color, as well as color drawings, and the new device helps these fields efficiently manage such information.
In addition to its high-speed scanning of 203.2 millimeters per second for monochromeNote1 and 67.6 millimeters per second for colorNote2, DocuWide 3035 MF promotes efficient work through a concurrent function that enables to start scanning by switching over to a scanning mode even during a continuous printing job.
The device also features a multiple transmission function that enables users to save scanned documents in shared PC folders, and to print them out from the device, or other multifunction devices and printers on the network, using the device’s control panel. In addition, with a single scanning, the scanned document can be transmitted simultaneously to up to two PCs and five multifunction devices/printers on the network, for efficient data saving and printing.
Using a 10.4-inch color liquid crystal display used in the ApeosPort series, Fuji Xerox’s digital multifunction devices for office use, the user interface of DocuWide 3035 MF is easy to view and operate.
Further, various security functions have been incorporated to prevent data from being leaked externally or decrypted by third parties: ID authentication and IC card authentication to restrict users, Security PrintNote3 that is useful for printing confidential documents, and encryption and overwriting functions of data accumulated in a hard disk.
Note1
When scanning resolution is 300 dots per inch or below.
Note2
When using an optional color scanning with resolution of 300 dots per inch or below.
Note3
When printing confidential documents, the document data is saved in the device and users need to enter a password on the control panel to print the documents.
