NeoTOP 804 TopLoading packaging solution with Triple-Mode features high flexibility

Wednesday 20. April 2011 - At this year's Interpack in Düsseldorf, Dividella is presenting its NeoTOP 804 packaging line. The technical concept of the NeoTOP 804 has already convinced numerous customers.

Most pharmaceutical companies produce and market a wide range of products worldwide. Widely varying levels of demand in different markets and product segments therefore require a highly flexible packaging system which is capable of processing a wide range of different products whilst simultaneously providing optimal product protection. In addition, it is also essential to guarantee efficient packaging of small, medium and large lot sizes. Further requirements for a modern packaging system include, among other things, item and code checks (vision systems), printing and checking of variable data, the shortest possible machine set-up times and compliance with GMP standards.
Pre-filled syringes are being used more and more, so that the administration of liquid pharmaceutical products can be handled more easily and more reliably in the doctor’s surgery or in hospitals, or by patients themselves. Dividella NeoTOP packs are the perfect solution for these diverse requirements and are ideal for the many types of packaging which are necessary in this context. The re-sealable top-loading/top-opening packs combine a highly visible product arrangement, simple removal and user-friendly presentation. Partitions and flutes inside the pack secure and protect the individual items.
Combination packs and feed systems
With Dividella NeoTOP packaging systems, all forms of parenteral or medicinal products (such as needles or vials) can be combined in one pack, so-called combination packs. Tamper-evident protection is assured either by the opening mechanism of the box itself or by the additional application of appropriate labels. Thanks to the technology of the feed systems, it is also possible to pack syringes along with safety devices, back-stops, etc. In addition to feeding in the syringes, before they are inserted they can also be aligned, spread and checked. In recent years Dividella, using its special expertise in this area, has developed many different customer-specific feed systems which are connected on a modular basis to upstream machines – for pens, injection vials or inhalers.
Triple-mode configuration
To meet the demand for high-output systems, the Dividella NeoTOP 804 – which is on show at Interpack in Düsseldorf – has been enhanced to include Triple Mode configuration. This enables up to 500 syringes per minute to be packaged. This unique enhancement enables highly flexible operation, as the NeoTOP 804 can be operated in either Single Mode or Triple Mode. In addition, the machine offers a further reduction in changeover times, an automatic feeder and a comprehensive monitoring system. Dividella NeoTOP boxes or NeoTOP trays with integrated partitions can be erected fully automatically from flat paperboard blanks. Then cylindrical objects, applicators, pharmaceutical products or blisters are inserted. The NeoTOP 804 has been specifically designed for such applications, where a high degree of flexibility is required and where particularly high output has to be achieved.
