Interpack 2011 Bosch Innovations Offer Flexibility and Safety for Packaging Lines
Wednesday 20. April 2011 - * New pack style for chocolate products * High quality thanks to airtight packages * Consulting services help achieve high Overall Equipment Effectiveness
At Interpack 2011 in Düsseldorf, Bosch Packaging Technology is presenting a new packaging style for horizontally packaged products and new developments for the production of airtight and hermetically sealed packages. “BrightSide”, a new, easy-to-open and recloseable pack style for horizontal bag packaging, will be on display at the show. With ever-crowded store shelves, increasingly tight time-to-market deadlines and rapidly changing consumer preferences, manufacturers need productivity-enhancing lines that can produce high-quality products and unique pack styles. Enabling manufacturers to add a lap seal anywhere on a package, this new technology enhances brand differentiation and convenience and is particularly suited for chocolate tablets, bars and wafers.
Bosch also presents a further innovation for the food and confectionery industries. With the new Sapal Starpac 600 HL, single-wrap die-fold packages can now be produced with hermetic seals, allowing for higher quality chocolate products.
For products requiring more rigorous safety assurance, Bosch will announce the Pack 301 LD (Long Dwell) flow wrapper that uses a longer dwell head to strengthen seal integrity. The Pack 301 LD is the latest addition to the Bosch wrapping portfolio and is particularly ideal for fresh, perishable goods where Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) is requested. The Pack 301 LD provides hermetically sealed packages even when thicker film is used, necessary when packaging medical goods.
At Interpack, Bosch will also introduce its OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Consulting service to enhance productivity throughout the manufacturing process. Bosch specialists work closely with food and confectionery manufacturers to optimize machine performance and maximize output by offering the expertise and technical know-how to suggest and implement system improvements.
