EMB at Interpack
Monday 18. April 2011 - The new high speed punching and embossing machine from "Emmendinger Maschinenbau" continues the victorious course and after a successful introduction, this machine will now, for the first time ever, be presented on an international show, the INTERPACK 2011 in Düsseldorf.
Besides the packaging and diary industry, the EMB high speed punching machine has now been established also in the beverage industry and achieved international markets.
The new high speed machine punches small shapes out of unprinted and printed aluminium and plastic foils directly from reels as well as out of paper, which may then be used as sealing lids or labels. The variety of these final products which are produced on this machine, includes sealing lids for yoghurt and pro-biotic drinks, labels and ice cream cones and goes up to beer bottle neck labels in absolutely high punching quality.
“We have given highest priority to the individuality of our customer requirements”, as mentioned by the General Manager, Mr. Haberstroh.
In former times, several machines were required, as for instance an embossing machine and a sheet punching machine, for embossing, perforating, pin-perforating and doming, and these steps are now gathered on only one, the new EMB high speed punching machine.
A quick change system for the embossing, perforation and punching tools enables an ergonomic handling and short changeover times, what increases the economical aspect of the machine considerably. According to the real needs of our customers, the punching tools are installed in such a way that an optimum material use is guaranteed, and the efficiency is increased by low waste accumulation.
By means of a “shredder” developed by ourselves, which can be purchased as an option to the machine, the waste foil can be crushed in small pieces. This makes the suction and collection of the waste foil easier. At the same time, the machine speed can be increased again, as rewinding of the waste foil or manual removal are not required.
