Komori: Report on Radiation Survey of Pre-Shipment Presses (As of April 4, 2011)

Wednesday 06. April 2011 - Komori Corporation would like to report on radiation surveys conducted from March 28 to March 30, 2011 of three pre-shipment presses produced in the Tsukuba Plant.

1. A total of 11 crates of a 4-color LITHRONE S40 for China were measured for radiation intensity at the dock warehouse in Yokohama on March 28, 2011. The maximum measured value was 0.06 microSv/h (average was 0.04 microSv/h) and we believe it is no problem.
2. A total 25 of crates of a 4-color SYSTEM 38 web press for India were measured for radiation intensity at the packing warehouse in Kawasaki on March 29, 2011. The maximum measured value was 0.09 microSv/h (average was 0.05 microSv/h) and we believe it is no problem.
3. A total of 11 crates of a 4-color LITHRONE G40 for China were measured for radiation intensity at the dock warehouse in Yokohama on March 28, 2011. The maximum measured value was 0.11 microSv/h (average was 0.05 microSv/h) and we believe it is no problem.

Japan Marine Surveyors & Sworn Measurers’ Association measured all of above presses using the following measuring equipment. 1. POLISTER “PM1703” 2. Aloka “TCS-171”
The measured points are the right side, left side, front side and back side of each crate. In the case of a web press, the top side of each crate is measured.
We will continue to keep our customers informed with updates whenever necessary.
