MANROLAND APPOINTS NEW AREA SALES MANAGER TO DRIVE SALES IN SOUTH WEST ENGLAND AND SOUTH WALES

Thursday 17. March 2011 - manroland has appointed Andrew Davies as Area Sales Manager, Sheetfed for the South West of England and South Wales. Mr Davies, who took up his position in January 2011, brings with him nearly thirty years of industry experience including extended tenures in sales positions at Litho Supplies and Shackell Edwards as well as time with Komori UK as regional sheetfed salesman.

Says Norman Revill, Managing Director, manroland GB: “Andrew brings with him decades of broad industry experience – from press sales to consumables and service and support packages – all of which will prove invaluable to manroland as we increase our drive in the South West and South Wales.
“In addition to press sales, our printcom and printservices divisions are playing a major role in helping to shape the future of our business so it’s great to have yet another area sales manager that can clearly articulate the benefits of this fully integrated approach to print production and press management. Already, we have seen Andrew’s natural enthusiasm open doors in a region that has not traditionally been a strong one for manroland.”

Mr Davies says as he has visited printers over the past couple of months, it is clear the industry is on the way back up after a difficult time, and there is real optimism for the future. He has also been very impressed with the positive reception he has received regarding the manroland brand and its technologies: “manroland is seen as a premium quality brand with outstanding presses, so it’s great to have a reputation like that preceding you,” continues Davies, “but some printers had no idea of the broad product portfolio the company now offers, from B3 right through to workhorses like the new ROLAND 700 HiPrint HS and the large format ROLAND 900 XXL.
